Month-End portfolio snapshot 01/2023

Almost forgot, that we have February already and that I should do quick portfolio overview. I am less active around this portfolio, which gives me more room for another activities. But I can assure you, that this dividend baby makes me happy and proud! Yes, it is still small portfolio, doing baby steps.

Let's have a look on my holdings, I purchased during January $LNT and $TSN.

I also sold $AAPL with small loss. This loss wasn't main decision, but price of stock vs. dividend yield. I want to be more agressive, so I try to pick "cheap" stocks in term of PE value.

PADI - projected annual dividend income crossed above 200$ !!! So this is one monthly contribution per year and I hope, I will reinvested well to double PADI before end of this year.

I am waiting to collect more dividends, so I can buy more shares of $MAIN, or other fast money rotor :-) . I should receive some extra cash during March from other investing products , so I will see, how I will manage their usage, but some portion should go into this portfolio.

Goals 2022 / 2023

As I finished list of goals for new year, it would be good to check also 2022 as a quick resume.

I set most goal with low expectations, just for beginning and to better understand, how it all works. I had some extra money, which I used to boost growth dividend income, but it looks still very funny. But I like it that way, so I am not very concern about market ups and downs, also I don't need to get dividends for paying bills, as I have couple more other income streams.

So and here is outlook for 2023

Most of the goals are same, only with different target value, options income will be super bonus, but I still don't have enough stocks and also strategy in place. I like simple things and all this around dividend investing looks very easy to understand, so I played with numbers little bit and I will tell you also secret goal for year....2050 ! :-)  This year I should officially retire, if there will be no changes. And this goal would be 10000$ in dividends per year. It is perhaps very low amount for some people, but without debts, I think me and my wife could have very nice bonus every year from this money. I am donating into more funds, so I will have like now more "income" streams as old man. Now I want to show you this table, where you can see year after year my planned progress. Very slow and steady, but you can't see 10k$ at the bottom and the reason is, that I deleted future "Special contributions". If I would use 600$ per year, the goal 10k$ would be achieved.

I already know, that I may use almost 1500$ this year as special contributions from other investments, that will be closed in couple months. But Let's wait and follow monthly 200$ investments for now.

Month-End portfolio snapshot 12/2022

 Hello!

This month was very slow from my point of view, I spent lot of time during market sessions, while trading my other accounts and I didn't resist to watch also my dividend portfolio ups and downs.

So 2022 is over and here is summary of my small, slow growth procedure.

I added in December 250$ with three small purchases. It was smallest amount since start of this project, but still above my monthly plan ( 200$ ) , so I am happy with it.

I collected during December 20,25$ in dividends! So this was very pleasant to see, overall I collected in 2022 around 30$. And what outlook do we have for next months? Let's see

Numbers of next month dividends are looking promising, as I am planning to add monthly into account and reinvest dividends, I hope, this portfolio can offer in 12 months solid raise, compounding magic :-) .

Okay and what about portfolio performace, am I under water, or is it not so bad? Hmm not drastic on both sides, even with sideway action of market, I should be doing fine and if market decide to go more deep down, I will follow my monthly simple procedure and that's it. This is not affecting my living situation, I just plan to use this portfolio in next 15-20 years, when dividend income will cover my family month expenses, so we can start slowly use this stream income. Yes, that is my main goal, not quick-rich scheme here.

See you at the end of January! Or maybe earlier, as I want to review my goals for 2023

Month-End portfolio snapshot 11/2022

Hello! You know what, this type of investing is really great. Once you start with dividends and with longterm vision, then it is very easy to follow and time is money :-) .

I can imagine writing this article for 2023 with same attitude, as first dividends are rolling into my account and I own also couple stocks, that are outperforming indexes, so it is very positive combination.

Let's have a look on my transactions during November

I bought new stock $PTVE , it is also IPO stock from 2020, so when I mean new, it's really in all way :-) . Then I added couple stocks into old cyclical $AEO , which really did a big impact on portfolio performance, as this stock is now around 16$ ! I know, they skipped last dividend payout, but I am ready to sell this stock with 100% gain and buy it back, when it will drop below 11-12 , as it did many times before (zoom out your charts - use weekly/monthly timeframe)

This chart is looking funny, but I see it in one year and I am sure, this will be outperformed many times, slowly compounding, reinvesting, money generating money! I love it.

I have short list of stocks, I might buy this month, I want first transfer money from my income (200-230$), trading account (7$) , plus received dividends (10$) and couple bucks from last month transaction, which I didn't use (20$) , this gives me buying "power" around 250$ for this month.
Projected dividend income is looking better not every month, but almost every week, as companies are increasing dividend amount paid to their stockholders - see last row at the bottom, 18$ in dividends for this month! In March it is 18,10$ , in June 18,34$ , small but steady + my additional deposits, it be soon above 25$ :-) / month . And my modest goals for 2023 is to achieve at least one month with 40$ in dividends and 250$ / year , so I will do my best to achieve it.

Month-End portfolio snapshot 10/2022

Time is running, so here is another month summary. I didn't mention couple transactions, I am slowly transfering small chunks of money from various sources into this account, so beginning looks faster, than I thought, which makes me happy.

During October I did these purchases:

I am trying to accumulate bigger positions ( $MAIN ), but I am also buying stocks from various sectors for better diversification. Market is still very low prior to all time highs, so I feel some urge to buy as often as possible. Next huge motivation gives me, how projection of future dividends is slowly increasing, which is very positive, so I can use more money for investing and increasing my contributions, big dreams with small steps! I started couple times with dividend portfolio in past, but I never prepared myself to this approach, so my greed convinced me to stop it and trade only growth stocks for quick profit - which is also great way, how to create wealth, but far from easy!

Here is my current portfolio:

Yes, I almost doubled my account in one month, so this was unplanned, but I found ways with more money streams ( couple $ from here and there ) , I couldn't resist to not invest it :-)  .
Current dividend income projection is around 145$/year, I plan to add around 500$ till the end of year, so it should be over 150$ of dividend income with ending account value at the end of year. I already overcame some of my goals for 2022 and I will adjust next goals for 2023 to be more challenging, but still achievable.

Goals for 2022

Only couple weeks left till the end of the year, but I want to address some current goals. You know, small steps are the way and tracking, navigating them in right direction, that is also helpful routine. And to be honest, dividend investing is very boring in matter of action, so I need to have goals in front of me.

Let's have a look, how does it look. Nothing complicated...
